I bought a piece from Sherry that now resides in my office so that I can be sure to view it
daily. It is a piece that offers something new each and every time I look at it. Her
knowledge of horses is evident, as even in abstract, the essence and character a horse
can convey comes through. I plan to be a Sherry Baumann collector!

Sherry is an amazing artist. I e-mailed her with a vague idea for a painting and she made
the idea a reality. I live in a different state and I have never met Sherry in person. Despite
the geographic distance, Sherry was able to visualize exactly what I wanted and develop
the perfect color scheme through telephone conversations.
In addition, she regularly e-mailed pictures of her work. She was very responsive to any of
my requests, she has great communication skills and I could not be happier with my new
painting! I would highly recommend Sherry for her artistic abilities and customer service.

SAVE DARFUR

Darfur has been embroiled in a deadly conflict for over three years.
At least 400,000 people have been killed; more than 2 million innocent
civilians have been forced to flee their homes and now live in
displaced-persons camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in neighboring
Chad; and more than 3.5 million men, women, and children are completely
reliant on international aid for survival.
Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has the world seen such a
calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter.
I wanted to let you know about Mercy Corps, a global
relief-and-development organization working in some of the
world's most difficult and remote places.

They're in more than 35 countries -- amid disasters, conflicts,
chronic poverty and instability -- working to unleash the
potential of people who can win against nearly impossible
odds. They believe that it's only when communities set their
own agendas, raise their own resources and implement
programs themselves, that their first successes result in the
renewed hope, confidence and skills to continue development.

What's more, their judicious use of donations has earned them
the highest efficiency rating from Charity Navigator, America's
premier charity evaluator.

You can read more about them at
www.mercycorps.org.
Charity Navigator is an essential, can't do
without web site for research charities, discovering
best practices for giving, and measuring the health
of your favorite charities. Use this free service to do
research before giving to any charity.

Kiva (www.kiva.org),

Make a small loan, make a big difference

Kiva is a non-profit organization that allows you to lend as little as $25 to a specific low-income
entrepreneur in the developing world.
You choose who to lend to - whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a
restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq - and as they repay their loan, you get your money back.  It’s a
powerful and sustainable way to empower someone right now to lift themselves out of poverty.
